Okay, rook tutorial time. I'm bored, so I'm writing this.
All, Begining
Okay, your on a freshly created rookguardian character. If you have a friend who is providing you with equipment, skip this section.
Once you log in, first, before anything else, do the doublet quest. Then, you have two options: Kill deer for meat for sale, or collect 50 rats. You need 100gp, and fast. There are deer dotted around the map, or you could just go collect dead rats to sell. Pointless to try killing them at level one.... You get owned by two >.<. Once you've got 100gp, buy the following: Backpack, Sabre, Leather armor, Leather Helmet, Leather legs, Wooden shield.
Free
Don't worry about ropes or shovels, we can get them later. Now, walk up to Al'dee's, and hunt in the rat caves there, untill level 3. You can just sit there (Or bot), untill level 8, or you can leave at level three. Now, once your level three, you need to do some quests for better armor. Finish the studded shield (Or find one in a dead orc), find, buy or loot a studded armor, and find a chain helmet. Now, with that equipment, go do the chain armor quest. Gather together a team, and just do it. Easy enough. Keep the gp, armor, and present box. Now go into town and trade the present box for a Legion helmet. Now, you have some... Okish rook eq. Go hunt Wolves around the east side, and in the caves. I can't be bothered to hold your hand.
Now, you should be level 5, with: Legion helmet, Chain armor, Leather legs, Leather boots, Studded/Brass shield, Sabre. Now, its time to go kill some good exp. What you do, is to the bug cave, that leads between the east and west part of the rook cave. Then, walk along the swamps down the bottom of the West side, killing everything. When you hit the coast, look for an unusual rock formation. Go down inside it (Bring a rope/shovel here), and make your merry way down, killing everything. What you do, is find a place when only two monsters can attack you. Then you can just pwn them up, one by one. Once you've emptied the cave, walk back along the swamp, and go onto the other side, emptying the Wolf cave. Now, repeate. You'll do that... Around 7-8 times to get out of rook. Once you hit level 8, my advice is too put the EQ you have onto a level one, to save you spending an hour collecting dead rats.
MAIN! Just remember, when you get over 200gp, to bank it (Unless your a rat nut like me). If you level in rats, you'll end up with 1-1.5k cash. Thats enough for a pset-Ect in main XD.
Premium
Okay premiums, your turn. Instead of going into the rats in Al'dee's, just do the premium sewers untill level 3. Now, once your level three, you need to do some quests for better armor. Gather together a team, and just do it. Easy enough. Keep the gp, armor, and present box. Now go into town and trade the present box for a Legion helmet. Now, you have some... Okish rook eq. Now, go beside the Rook-Free bridge, and look for some stairs neer it. Go down, and empty the cave. Easy enough, with your eq. Now, go over to the rook hunting area, and kill all the wolf spawns, making sure only two can hit you at once. Otherwise you get owned. Just repeat that, and you'll be out of rook within an hour (My best is 38 Minutes with a Rook set already from 0EXP).
